The Netherlands bartenders Tess Posthumus and Timo Janse recently opened their first
cocktail bar, Flying Dutchmen Cocktails. The location was found in the Odeon, a national Dutch monument at Singel 460 in the heart of Amsterdam. Flying Dutchmen Cocktails focusses on (neo-)classic cocktails, drinks education and the creation of a true cocktail culture in the Netherlands. Flying Dutchmen teaches their guests and the bar industry something about bartending, about the stories behind the spirits, about existing recipes and about the bartenders who created these classic cocktails.

Drawing on a diverse set of flavor profiles—classic, nostalgic, and unexpected—each is crafted to engage all the senses, with a detailed focus on serviceware and garnishes. To complement the cocktails, the menu features refined, plant-based hand-held bites in the lounge, and a 90-minute, five-course experience at The Studio chef’s counter.

The menu at Side Hustle is inspired by Executive Chef Ashley Abodeely’s time living in Los Angeles where she developed a passion for Southern California’s fresh, Mexican-influenced cuisine. The cocktail program is centered around a large selection of agave-based spirits and cocktails, showcasing the flavors and traditions of Mexico along with classic and contemporary British, European and American offerings.

An all-female team, has become a point of reference in the cocktail scene in Mexico City for its gothic but relaxed aesthetic and a cocktail program based on Mexican herbalism. The interior of the bar exudes an intimate, cosy and dark atmosphere, the soft, amber lighting subtly bathing the wooden walls topped with black leather furniture. The bar's shelves contain witchcraft items such as taxidermy, an Ouija board and books, as well as jars containing herbs, roots, fruit peels, etc., which are used in cocktails. Tribute is paid to all the grandmothers, great-grandmothers, mothers and traditional healers who in times past could cure everything from a broken heart to clinical illnesses with the help of herbs...

BackDoor43 is the world's smallest cocktail bar: 4 square meters of floor space, 4 seats, a unique collection of more than 200 whisky labels from all parts of the world and a takeaway service. The place offers a unique experience, taking the guest into a parallel world of boiseries and collector's items, made even more special by the possibility of being able to choose one's own music playlist and the presence of a barman totally at one's disposal, ready to create tailor-made drinks. There are a few rules to follow: you only enter by reservation. Once a slot is booked, the bar is available to the client for an hour.

The Court

It opened in July 2019. From its lounges it's possible to admire the Colosseum. The Court is located inside the seventeenth-century Palazzo Manfredi, in this Hotel Bar with an international concept it is easy to forget that you are in Rome. To the killer panorama must be even added a strong bar program made up of surprising cocktails resulting from creativity and modern technologies, the mix is completed with the final ingredient that is the great hospitality, present in every gesture and attention of the crew.
